Intershame On: Mike Rogers R-Michigan |
In The Insurance Industry's Pocket
11/10/2009
Congressman Mike Rogers is very much against health care reform in the United States. Listen to this impassioned argument he makes against it - going so far to conclude that a government run health care option would be a "travesty" and fighting so that the people who have earned health insurance through their employment can't be punished just so people without access to health care can be covered...
Considering Rogers represents the state of Michigan which as the highest unemployment rate in the nation at 15.3%, a lot of those people who've "earned" their health insurance coverage must have "un-earned" it by getting laid off. Fuck them, I guess.
Oh, and it's probably important to point out that Mike Rogers' top 3 political contributions are pharmaceutical, insurance and health care companies.
You're doing great work for the insurance lobby of your state Mike, keep it up.
