Wow.

It's not often I stare at my television jaw agape, but it happened tonight.

Jon Stewart, comedian and host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show welcomed noted conservative and health care reform opponent Bill Kristol onto the program tonight. After a few minutes of relatively playful banter concerning Sarah Palin, Stewart turned the conversation towards health care. Kristol was asked why government run health care was good enough for our troops but the general population was stuck with our current system of privatized health care. Kristol responded... and I still can't believe this... that because American troops lay their life on the line for the country, they deserve better health care than the general public. So, if the troop's health care is better than the general population's health care and the troop's health care is run by the government...

If you're following along at home, Bill Kristol just admitted that the government run system of health care America provides for its troops is superior to the privatized one available to the general public.

This is an epic slip up and will no doubt be used to the advantage of health care reform proponents.

I'll post the video when Comedy Central makes it available.

The video is now available. Watch it below.
