Not long ago I was browsing about the internet when I came across a little controversy. It just so happened that somebody completely ripped off somebody else's website design. The person doing the ripping off didn't even attempt to mask it. I mean, it was the exact same website and all this clown did was replace the original designer's photo with his own. Not cool. Not cool at all.

A question was posed: What could the person who had his hard work stolen do about it?

I finished reading the article and dove into the comments people were leaving. One person attempted to answer the above question. I'll paraphrase what he or she said:

This person deserves a good intershaming...

Intershaming

I loved the concept. I loved the word. "Hmm...", I thought, "I already have a server...". I did a quick check to see if the domain name was taken and, sure enough, the present tense "Intershame" was available. At that point I knew I'd be spending the majority of my free time starting this website. About 2 months later, here we are.

So... Welcome to Intershame.com! A place where we'll be exposing misbehavior, pointing out dipshittery, chronicling numbskulls and, well, fighting evil (and based on that last one, going overboard). In short, we'll be intershaming stuff we deem worthy of an Intershame. Good times.

We hope you'll have a look around. The website design thief that inspired the comment that inspired this website will be our first ever Intershame - you can see that here.

Oh, one more thing. If you're wondering what's up with the design of Intershame.com, you can read more about that in our FAQ. In short... I went retro. Very retro. I decided to imagine what a site would look like if I made it back in 1995 and then let it sit around until today. My next weblog will cover the design in detail. Hope you'll stick around to check that out.
